A woman in her 70s was taken to hospital following a road traffic collision on the N25 Rosslare Road in Co Wexford this evening (Tuesday). The incident occurred shortly after 6pm at Ballykelly, Drinagh, when a single vehicle struck the wall of The Coal Bunker Bar. It's understood that no other vehicles were involved in the crash. Gardaí, along with the National Ambulance Service and local fire crews, attended the scene. The driver, understood to be the sole occupant of the car, received roadside medical treatment before being transported to Wexford General Hospital for further assessment. The woman's injuries are believed to be non-life-threatening. Traffic on the busy route was reduced to one lane for a period, as Gardaí worked to manage the scene and facilitate recovery operations, and road users were advised to anticipate delays until the area was fully cleared.
