Woman in a serious condition following waterford fire overnight

A fire in Waterford city last night has left one woman in hospital.

Gardai and emergency services were called to the scene on Wellington Street in the city at about 11 o'clock last night. The woman in her 20s was taken by ambulance to University Hospital Waterford . She's said to be in a serious condition. It's not yet known what started the blaze but Gardai are said to be investigating
