A ‘YELLOW ALERT’ weather warning has been issued for eight counties, including Wexford, with strong winds expected from late this afternoon.
Met Eireann says we can expect winds of up to 110kmph from 2 o'clock this afternoon. They say it's due to a depression moving east across the country and will affect Dublin, Wicklow, Cork, Clare, Kerry, Limerick and Waterford. The warning is in place until midnight tonight with some showers also expected.
