County wexford sports projects to share 1.26 million euro in funding

Over 1.26 million euro has been awarded for sports projects in County Wexford. The Minister of State for Tourism and Sport Michael Ring made the announcement today through the Sports Capital Programme 2014. 33 group across the county are to benefit with funding ranging from 1,500 euro for Oylegate Youth Club to 150,000 euro for the Faythe Harriers Hurling and Camogie Club. However 36 per cent of the applications received were invalid and failed to secure funding.
