12 killed at french satirical magazine hq
French police say 12 people have now died in a shooting at the offices of a satirical magazine in Paris. At least 4 others have been critically injured in the incident at the offices of Charlie Hebdo. Shortly before it happened the magazine posted a tweet mockingly wishing the head of Islamic State a Happy New Year. The publication has previously been targeted for its depictions of the prophet Muhammad. French President Francois Hollande has described it as an act of exceptional barbarism.
