200 years since tuskar rock lighthouse came into operation
Today marks the 200th anniversary of Tuskar Lighthouse. Two flares were launched from the Rosslare Harbour lifeboat at 11 o'clock this morning just off the lighthouse to mark the event. Construction began on Tuskar lighthouse in 1812 and it entered into operation on the 4th of June 1815. A special photo exhibition also took place today at the Rosslare Harbour Maritime Heritage Centre to mark the anniversary.
