Today's figure of 601 people is up on yesterday when 593 people were waiting on a trolley. It comes as one hospital prepares to hold a work to rule later this month over the issue, and others get set to ballot on the proposal. In light of the worsening situation, one Independent TD wants the Dáil to be recalled to discuss the crisis Dublin North Central Deputy Finian McGrath says he fears that if the problem isn't addressed over the next few weeks, many 'senior citizens will die'. Clinical Director at Wexford General Doctor Colm Quigley says the situation is changing daily with their response adapting to meet the care requirements of those most in need.
