42 people were arrested yesterday in the Carlow/Kilkenny Garda Division as part of Operation Storm.
17 of those are still being questioned in Kilkenny and Carlow Garda Stations. Yesterdays operation resulted in the seizure of €20,000 worth of drugs and five vehicles. 77 checkpoints and 21 premises searched during the exercise. The arrests were in relation to suspicion of theft, assault, burglary, and drugs offences.
