A controlled explosion has been carried out this evening on a device found at Rosslare strand.
The army bomb disposal team were called in after an old grenade - possibly from the second world war - was found at a house which was being renovated. The device was found in the Ford of Lyng area. The scene was cordoned off by Gardai until a controlled explosion could be carried out. It's not known if the grenade was live.
