More than 2,000 affordable housing supports were delivered across the country during the first three months of this year, according to new figures from the Department of Housing.
The total represents an increase of more than 76% compared with the same period in 2025.
Housing Minister James Browne says the figures build on record delivery last year, with more than 24,000 affordable housing supports provided since 2021.
Among the schemes, 287 homes were delivered through the Starter Homes for Purchase Scheme during the first quarter — up 122% year-on-year.
A further 472 Cost Rental homes were delivered, representing a 317% increase, while 442 supports were drawn down through the First Home Scheme.
Meanwhile, 816 Vacant Property Refurbishment Grants were paid during the first three months of the year, up almost 30% on the same period in 2025.
Minister Browne said the supports are helping people to buy homes, access secure long-term rental accommodation at below-market rents and bring vacant properties back into residential use.
