Aig buys laya healthcare
Laya Healthcare has been taken over by international insurance organisation AIG. The agreement was signed today but the completion of the transaction won't happen until the regulator approves it. No price has been disclosed, but previous reports have valued the deal in the range of 80 million euro. Ireland's second largest health insurance provider says it will continue to operate in Cork and it's business as usual when it comes to members' day-to-day dealings with the company.
