Almost 40 leaving cert results held back over cheating allegations

38 Leaving Cert results have been permanently held back from students because they either cheated or violated regulations.

Under exam rules, students can't bring in mobile phones or notes into their tests. The State Examinations Commission declined to say how many students were involved. A further 34 results are being provisionally withheld while investigations are carried out.
