Around 500 people in recovery from addiction are expected to attend Narcotics Anonymous' 40th Irish Regional Convention at Whites Hotel in Wexford this week.
The convention will bring people together from across the country to share their experiences, offer support and highlight the message that recovery from addiction is possible.
One of those attending is Mick, who spoke to South East Radio's Morning Mix about his own experience of addiction and how Narcotics Anonymous helped him turn his life around.
He hopes sharing his story will encourage others who may be struggling with addiction to seek help and realise they are not alone.
The convention marks 40 years of Narcotics Anonymous in Ireland and provides an opportunity for members to connect with others who understand the challenges of recovery.
The event begins this Friday 6th of November.
