Arrests in connection with organised crime across the region
8 people are still being held by gardaí over organised crime in the South East. They were arrested by officers in Kilkenny, Tipperary and Waterford yesterday when a series of raids were carried out as part of Operation Munster. The target was gangs suspected of carrying out a large number of burglaries. 12 people were initially detains, one man and one woman were released without charge, two other men were arrested on warrant and have been transferred to prison. Gardaí recovered jewelery and electronics during the operation.
