Ballycanew tidest village in county wexford
Ballycanew in North Wexford is the tidest village in the county. It claimed the title for the third year at the National Tidy Towns Awards yesterday. Blackwater is in second place, six points behind, while two further points behind is Rosslare in third place. Bree is in fourth position. Enniscorthy scored highest in the large town category. While Wexford town claimed a bronze medal in the large town category. It lost out last year by a point after winning bronze in 2012. A total of thirty four towns and villages entered the competition in county Wexford this year. Kilkenny was the overall winner of the competition for tidiest town - while also picking up the award for tidiest large urban centre.
