Bausch and lomb staff to find out who's being made redundant in two weeks
Staff at Bausch and Lomb in Waterford will find out in the middle of June if they're to lose their jobs or taking a pay cut. 200 positions are to go at the contact lens maker, with a risk that the remaining 900 jobs will be shed unless workers accept a 20 per cent pay cut. The Minister for Jobs Richard Bruton says the government will propose substantial financial support in order to secure the plant's future in Waterford.
