Discussions With Tenants Will Take Place In Coming Weeks
The landlord behind threatened evictions at a housing estate in County Wexford is announcing they are being withdrawn.
It's a week today since Patchflow Limited first issued the 36 termination notices, leaving residents of Hazelwood in Bridgetown facing an uncertain future.
Doorstep audio shared by South East Radio yesterday linked the decision to new rental rules from March 1st, a connection previous denied by Housing Minister James Browne, which saw him challenged in the Dail by Labour TD George Lawlor.
In a statement this afternoon, the landlord says it recognises the concern of tenants, with some in discussions to purchase their homes.
It plans to meet residents in the coming weeks to explore individual solutions.
