Minister of State Neil Richmond has provided an update on the repatriation efforts for Irish citizens in the Middle East.
Two commercial flights have already arrived from Dubai to Dublin, with a third scheduled for today, and the first government repatriation flight is departing from Muscat in Oman.
The government has prioritized vulnerable citizens, including the elderly, pregnant women, and families with young children.
Speaking on MM Minister Richmond dismissed claims of a shakedown over the €800 fee for repatriation flights, clarifying that it covers less than half the cost.
