Bunclody deemed rural town in ireland worst affected by the recession
That's according to a Teagasc survey carried out on 300 rural towns with a population of fifteen hundred or more. Of the twenty towns worst effected by the recesssion New Ross also comes in at number eighteen. But Bunclody has suffered the highest unemployment and emigration rates of all the towns surveyed. In the survey the midlands and south east had the highest number of towns effected by the recession.
