Cause of death unknown for murdered man found in suitcase
Gardaí are still trying to establish the cause of death of a man found in a suitcase in a canal in Co Kildare over the weekend. The discovery was made by passers-by near Ardclough on Saturday afternoon. Gardaí are still trying to identify the man in his 20s. It is speculated he may have been Eastern European. Reporter with the Herald and IndependentNewspapers, Conor Feehan, says officers are keen to find the rest of the victims body. "A preliminary has been carried out, but no cause of death has been established" he said. "It seems evident from the body parts that have been found that the victim - a white male, believed to be in his 20s - was not shot or stabbed in those particular regions of his body that were recovered". "But naturally, the gardaí are very anxious to recover the remaining body parts" he added.
