Changes proposed in childcare sector

Parents may soon be able to claim a tax credit for hiring a childminder in their own home.

Two Fine Gael TDs have come up with the idea to give more flexibility to mums and dads who struggle to get their children to creches. Early Childhood Ireland isn't convinced by the idea and says it would prefer more public investment.
