Wexford County Council is extending the deadline for applications to the CLÁR 2026 Funding Programme until Friday, 15th May at 17:00hrs. This funding stream is available exclusively for approved CLÁR areas within County Wexford, as designated by the Department of Rural and Community Development and the Gaeltacht (as of February 2026).
The CLÁR Programme supports small-scale infrastructural projects in rural areas that have experienced significant depopulation, socio-economic disadvantage, or geographic remoteness. Funding amounts range from €5,000 to €100,000 depending on the project size and scope.
The programme is open to schools, community groups, voluntary organizations, and local development companies based in eligible CLÁR areas. Up to 14 grants will be awarded to Wexford communities, with 12 projects receiving up to €65,000 and 2 projects receiving up to €100,000.
Interested groups are encouraged to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) by the deadline. To check if your community qualifies and to apply, visit the CLÁR 2026 page on Wexford County Council’s website.
For further information, please contact Eoghan Greene, CLÁR Programme Administrator, at eoghan.greene@wexfordcoco.ie.
