Co. wexford boy refused permission to leave philippines after visit with mother
A County Wexford family are pleading for their son to be returned to them following a visit to the Philippines. 7 year-old Oisin O'Leary from Kilanerin was refused permission to leave when he arrived at the airport to return to Ireland with his Filpino mother. This was due to issues with his Irish passport. The boy remains in the Phillippines staying with a relative. The Philippine authorites are demanding the payment of 3,500 euro for the boy to return to Ireland. His father Thomas O'Leary said the first they knew about it was when they arrived at the airport to return home. He says Independent TD Mick Wallace is helping with the matter and they're waiting for him to come back to them as to what they should do next.
