Co. wexford priest witnesses horrors of gaza conflict
A County Wexford Priest who is in Jerusalem near Gaza witnessing the latest conflict says he can feel the tension and desperation of the people in the region. Fr. Billy Swan from St. Aidans Parish in Enniscorthy has seen the injured victims of this latest three week old conflict as they're treated in hospitals close to his base. The United Nations says the carnage in Gaza must end. It comes after an attack by Israeli forces killed at least 16 Palestinians sheltering in a U.N. run school. The Israeli army says it's investigating the incident. Fr. Billy Swan says the two sides are trying to justify the conflict.
