Wexford TD George Lawlor raised concerns in the Dáil last night over a government proposal that could negatively impact special education.
The Wexford Deputy criticized a new designation that would force children with Mild General Learning Disabilities into mainstream schools, arguing that these schools are not equipped with the specialized resources needed.
He warned that this move would have a detrimental effect on schools like Our Lady of Fatima School in Wexford, which provides essential support for these children.
He is calling for a reconsideration of the plan to ensure children’s educational needs are properly met
