Concerns raised over handover time between caredoc service and gps
A Wexford woman has raised concerns over the handover time between the caredocs and GPs. Early one morning last week Mary became unwell with a fever and passed out. After coming round, her son contacted caredoc at 7.30am but the doctor refused to come to her as he was off duty at 8am. She wasnt able to make contact with her own GP untill 11am, over three hours later. Mary says crucial periods of the day are not covered by either service and something needs to be done.
