Concerns raised over lack of progress on long-awaited Gorey Primary Care Centre

Fresh concerns are being raised over the lack of a firm timeline for the long-awaited Primary Care Centre in Gorey.

The project has been in the pipeline for several years, but there is still no clear indication of when construction of the centre will begin.

Earlier this year, the HSE confirmed that a preferred site had been identified, with negotiations expected to be completed by the end of June.

However, there has been no confirmation that the project has progressed to the next stage.

The development has also faced delays following the collapse of a previous procurement process, adding to concerns about how long local people will have to wait for the facility.

Speaking on Morning Mix, Mick O’Callaghan says the Primary Care Centre is badly needed in the Gorey area, given the growing demand for healthcare services.
