Wexford senior camogie captain Anais Curran says the squad is “really looking forward” to their Leinster Senior Championship semi-final clash with Kilkenny tomorrow evening at Chadwicks Wexford Park. Throw-in is at 7:30pm.
Speaking ahead of the game, Curran said it’s been a few weeks since Wexford last played a competitive match following the league, but she says the panel have been training hard and are eager to put in a performance.
The Oulart Club player acknowledged the challenge ahead against a physically strong Kilkenny side, but says Wexford’s focus is firmly on their own game and delivering a performance they can be proud of in front of a home crowd.
Curran also said there is a strong emphasis on building for the future within the squad, with a mix of experience and younger players coming through, and believes continued progress will bring Wexford back competing at the top level in time.
