Music and community will come together on Monday, 26 October, as the annual Wexford Festival Mass takes place at noon in the Church of the Immaculate Conception on Rowe Street.
The Rowe Street Choir, under the direction of Donagh Wylde, will perform The Son of God Mass by British composer James Whitbourn, who died in 2024.
They will be joined by organist Professor Emeritus Gerard Gillen and a soloist from Wexford Festival Opera’s Factory programme.
The annual Mass is a special part of the Festival celebrations, bringing together music, faith and the local community.
Pat Jackman and Emer O’Flanagan from Rowe Street Choir joined Morning Mix to discuss this year’s Mass and its place in Wexford’s Festival tradition.
