Preparations are underway for the festive season in Gorey, with the town's Christmas lights switch-on ceremony scheduled for Saturday, November 21st.
Wexford County Council has published proposals for a series of temporary road closures to facilitate the event.
Under the plans, sections of Main Street, Market Street and Thomas Street would be closed to traffic between 4.30pm and 9pm on the day.
The proposed Main Street closure would extend from The Avenue to the junction with Rafter Street and Church Street.
Sections of Market Street and Thomas Street would also be affected, with alternative routes to be signposted for motorists.
The Christmas lights switch-on is an important date in Gorey's festive calendar marking the beginning of the Christmas season in the town.
Members of the public are being invited to have their say on the proposed traffic arrangements.
Submissions and objections can be made to Wexford County Council before noon on Tuesday, November 3rd.
The proposals are currently open for public consultation.
