A new opinion poll shows support for Fine Gael has fallen and more than half of voters want the Taoiseach to resign.
The Kantar Millward Brown poll in today's Sunday Independent comes as pressure builds for Enda Kenny to set out a timeline for his departure - with Leo Varadkar calling the current situation distracting and destabilising for the Government. It shows Fianna Fáil is up 6 points to 33% - an 8 point lead on Fine Gael. Sinn Féin's is 20%, Labour's dropped 2 to 6%, and the Greens are unchanged on 2%. The Independent Alliance stays on 5% - other independents drop 2 to 4% - the Social Democrats are up 1 to 2% - and the AAA-PBP are up 1 to 3%.
