Great news for walkers in the Coolgreany area, as €197,416 has been approved for the installation of a footpath linking Coolgreany village to the entrance of Ballyfad Woods. The first phase of the project will cover 600 metres, with hopes for additional funding in 2026 to complete the full pathway. North Wexford TD Fionntan O Suilleabhain has welcomed the news saying the footpath aims to improve road safety and enhance access to Ballyfad Woods, a popular local spot. Plans are also in place for a footpath linking Tara Vale to Tara Hill, completing a safe walking route from the beach to the hill
