Government warned that de-criminalising drugs would be a disaster

A leading defence lawyer has warned that de-criminalising drugs would be a disaster.

Taoiseach Leo Varadkar will unveil the Government's national drug strategy this morning. One proposal could see drug users caught with small amounts of heroin and cocaine escape jail time. Dublin based Lawyer John Hennessy says normalising drugs is not a good thing.
