Investigation launched after elderly woman attacked in hospital and died
The HSE is investigating after an elderly woman in Loughlinstown Hospital in Co Dublin was attacked by a male patient and died. The woman, who was in her 70s and suffering from Alzheimers, was rushed to St Vincent's Hospital in Dublin after the attack on May 17th, where she underwent surgery. She died two days later. According to the Irish Mirror, the woman's family were initially told she had been injured in a fall.
