The Environmental Protection Agency is predicting that Ireland's greenhouse gas emissions will go up instead of down in the coming years.
It says at best, we'll only manage a 1% reduction compared to an EU target of a 20% decrease by 2020. Fossil fuels such as coal and peat are expected to be significant contributors, while emissions from the agriculture and transport sectors are expected to increase.
