Gardaí in Wexford have arrested two women following a targeted patrol and vehicle search in the Kilmore area on Thursday, 25 June 2026.
During proactive high-visibility policing by Unit C of Wexford Garda Station, officers observed a vehicle acting suspiciously and stopped it for inspection.
A search of the vehicle and its occupants was carried out under Section 23 of the Misuse of Drugs Act, where suspected “blow” with an estimated street value of €900 was discovered. Both women were arrested in connection with the seizure.
The vehicle was also taken off the road under Section 41 of the Road Traffic Act after it was found to have no tax, insurance, or NCT. Gardaí further confirmed the driver was unlicensed, with Fixed Charge Notices issued for a number of road traffic offences.
A file will now be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions in relation to alleged drug offences, with court proceedings expected to follow.
