Irish mma urged to boost safety standards after carvalho inquiry

The Sports Minister is calling on leaders in the MMA community to urgently introduce better safety standards to protect fighters.

It's after the death of Joao Carvalho after a bout in April 2016. The inquest into his death yesterday heard that he sustained 41 blows to the head and was initially treated in a crowded dressing room where he lost consciousness.
