The Minister for Housing is being urged to meet with landlords over their threats to retaliate against rent caps.
The Irish Property Owners Association is threatening to bring in a raft of new charges in response to the Government's move to alleviate pressure on tenants. Last night the Dáil passed all stages of legislation that will limit rent increases in so-called pressure zones at four percent per year. The IPOA has issued a list of charges including fees for the handover of keys it's considering as a result of the measures.
