A local Councillor is calling for immediate action regarding the flood relief scheme in Enniscorthy.
Councillor Jackser Owens says the delay in any progress in the scheme until 2025 is not good enough after yesterday saw the banks of the river Slaney inches away from overflowing into the town. Speaking to South East Radio News this morning Councillor Owens says this is something we need to fight for , for the people of Enniscorthy. He is calling on the 5 elected Oireachtas members to once again bring up the issue in the Dáil. He added that he has brought up the topic during every District Meeting he has attended.
