Local radio must be supported and nurtured - howlin

The authentic voice of local radio must be supported and nurtured.

That's the view of the Leader of the Labour Party Brendan Howlin. He was speaking as commercial radio stations call for taxes on them to be dropped - as the government promised three years ago. Brendan Howlin says local radio is essential to democracy as a platform for local news and discussion.
