A man in his 50s has been taken to hospital following a shooting incident at a house in Co Wexford late on Saturday night.
Gardaí said a firearm was discharged at a domestic residence in the Coolcotts area of Wexford Town at approximately 11.30pm on 16 May.
The injured man was brought to Wexford General Hospital, where his injuries were described as non-life-threatening.
An incident room has been established at Wexford Garda Station and a senior investigating officer has been appointed to lead the inquiry. The scene remains preserved for examination by the Garda Technical Bureau.
Investigating gardaí are appealing for witnesses to come forward. Anyone who was in the Coolcotts area, or nearby, between 10.30pm and 11.30pm on Saturday night and who may have information is asked to contact officers.
Gardaí are also seeking any camera footage, including dash-cam recordings, from the area at the time of the incident.
