Meta boss Mark Zuckerberg has bought a castle in County Waterford.
It's understood the tech billionaire and his wife purchased 'Strancally Castle Estate' close to Knockanore several weeks ago. It's reported that the estate could have cost between €20m and €30m given the standard of the property, which has been fully restored over the past two decades.
Strancally Castle is situated in the Blackwater Valley, around a 30-minute drive from Youghal, Co Cork.
A spokesperson for Mark Zuckerberg says 'he and his family are excited to continue caring for this historic home and look forward to spending time in Ireland'.
