Minister for Housing James Browne has responded to the devastating flooding in Enniscorthy and surrounding areas acknowledging the distress faced by families and businesses across Wexford.
Speaking to Alan Corcoran he emphasized the growing unpredictability and severity of weather events and the need for extreme measures to protect communities.
He also highlighted the importance of better communication in flood warnings with a commitment to holding Met Éireann accountable for their role in providing timely alerts.
While acknowledging that earlier warnings may not have prevented the flooding the Minister stressed the need for clearer and faster communication.
