More industrial action not being ruled out at irish rail

Union figures are not ruling out more industrial action at Irish Rail, as driver frustration reaches 'fever pitch'. It is almost a year since a nationwide strike caused disruption for commuters - but now a row over pay and conditions is among the factors leaving drivers unhappy. The National Bus and Rail Union (NBRU) says that while industrial action would be a "last resort", it is an approach being considered. Paul Cullen of SIPTU says drivers feel they are not being listened to. "Whether its strike action or industrial action, that will be a decision made by the locomotive drivers as part of the discussions" he said. "We have, over the last year year, been emphasising to the company the difficulties that arise in relation to the relationship with locomotive drivers have clearly broken down in relation to industrial relations because they are so frustrated in regards to having their concerns raised" he added.
