More Than 600 Women Unite for Wexford Dip in the Nip

More than 600 women gathered on the Rosslare coastline yesterday for the 13th annual Wexford Dip in the Nip — a remarkable morning filled with courage, friendship, laughter and support.

For many the event was about far more than taking a chilly plunge into the sea. Behind every woman who stepped onto the shore was a personal reason, a cherished memory, a loved one or a cause close to her heart.

There were nerves, hugs and plenty of laughter before the women entered the water together. In that moment, hundreds of individual stories became one powerful show of solidarity.

What began 13 years ago as a fun challenge has grown into a deeply meaningful Wexford tradition, bringing women together from across the community and reminding them that they are not alone.

Organisers have thanked every participant, volunteer, donor and supporter who helped make this year’s event so special.

The cold water may have lasted only a few moments, but the sense of connection, strength and shared purpose will stay with those involved for much longer.
