Wexford County Council wishes to advise that based on sampling and following consultation with the HSE, the bathing prohibition at Carne was lifted on Sunday 20th August.
Testing conducted as part of the Council’s normal monitoring of bathing water quality showed elevated levels for E. Coli and Intestinal enterococci bacteria at Carne Beach last Friday. It is now safe to swim at Carne Beach.
