There's been a call for protective rock armour to be placed along a stretch of coastline in North Wexford. It's after up to a further 30 feet of land was washed away after Storm Jake last week. According to local residents a public road, graveyard and church ruins are now under threat. One of them, Peter Earle, says the situation is in need of urgent attention: "The whole...area North of Cahore point has been devastated. It...it has taken as much as a 30 feet of a bankment including the beach, the beach is gone as well, so...it is quite serious" he said.
