A planning application made by Gen7 Renewable Energy Limited for the development of a solar farm on a 121.5 hectare site in Gusserane last September.

However, members of the Gusserane Community Action Group have opposed the proposed development, saying the application raises serious and unresolved public-safety and environmental concerns”
It was confirmed at yesterday's meeting of Wexford County Council that the application had been approved after the council asked for further clarification.
Residents of the area have previously said they wouldn't back down on the issue as it's far too important for the local area
