Bad news for renters today as costs reach an all-time high.
A new report from property Website Daft claims the average monthly payment has gone up again and will now set you back over €1,100 The prices are highest in the capital where rent is more than €1,700, while Limerick has the lowest where it's still in excess of €900 a month. Experts are blaming some of the problem on a shortage of homes after a ban on bedsits several years ago. Daft's Ronan Lyons says we need to change our expectations.
