Runners of all abilities are being encouraged to take part in the Wexford Bus Piercestown 5K, which returns this Sunday, June 21st at 12 noon.
The popular community event, organised as a fundraiser for Piercestown National School, has become a firm favourite on the local running calendar, combining a fast, enjoyable course with a strong community atmosphere.
Around 500 participants are expected to take part, with the route offering a mostly runnable course before a final uphill challenge on the way back towards the finish line.
As well as a finisher’s medal, runners can look forward to post-race treats, with doughnuts provided for all finishers.
With prizes also on offer and plenty of local support expected along the route, organisers say it’s set to be a great day for runners, families and the wider community.
